On the morning of May 2, the 2019 Annual Meeting of Waste Leachate Treatment Committee of CAUES & the 1st Advanced Seminar on the Theory and Practice of Leachate Treatment Technology grandly kicked off at Shangri-La Hotel, Suzhou. The event was jointly held by Symposium on Urban Mining and Waste Management (SUMEast), which an international academic conference organized by IWWG (the International Waste Working Group) and sponsored by Tsinghua University and the University of Padua, and the Waste Leachate Treatment Committee of China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation (CAUES). More than 200 scholars and experts from different countries such as China and Italy gathered here and had discussions on solid waste management and waste control.
The Waste Leachate Treatment Committee of CAUES has been uniting all forces to enhance the independent innovation ability of leachate treatment technology and equipment, in a bid to solve the technical and management challenges in leachate treatment. The meeting was not only the 2019 annual meeting of the Committee but also the first high-level seminar on the theory and practice of leachate treatment technology. It aims to build an international cooperation and exchange platform for domestic and foreign experts, scholars and practitioners engaged in the waste leachate treatment to share research results, discuss issues and challenges and explore cutting-edge technologies.
Vice President Cai Hui, Secretary-General of the Waste Leachate Treatment Committee of CAUES delivered the 2018 annual work report of the Waste Leachate Treatment Committee. Chief Engineer Chen Gang, Vice Secretary-General of the Committee, delivered the Report on the Development of the Leachate Treatment Industry. During the forum, many Chinese and foreign experts and scholars discussed the leachate management policies and new technologies and organized a special report on the leachate treatment technology and experience exchange. They also shared the problems and experiences encountered in the waste leachate treatment project as well as the exploration and thinking about new technologies.

Director Wang Guanwu of Yingherui Environment delivered a report themed “Application Sharing of Enamel Assembled Tank Making Technology in Leachate Emergency Treatment” to share with the participants the technical characteristics, advantages and mature application cases of Yiherui’s enamel assembled tank making technology, and then made detailed responses the questions in the subsequent technology sharing salon.
