It is the national “fire safety month” in November. In order to improve employees’ awareness to escape and their fire fighting and evacuation skills in case of fire, the safety department of Yingherui carried out a “fire emergency evacuation drill” at the office building of the company with the support of head of fire protection from Beijing Internet Financial Security Demonstration Industrial Park on November 9, 2018.

Before the drill, the safety department of Yingherui explained the fire prevention knowledge, escape methods, use of fire-fighting equipment and other precautions to the employees, and carried out on-site demonstration.

At 4 o’clock in the afternoon, Lin Congjie, head of the safety department of Yingherui, announced that “Beijing Yingherui’s fire emergency evacuation drills now begins.”

All personnel followed the procedures arranged for the drill. After Lu Yuezhong triggered the fire alarm, Hu Xinping went to the power distribution room to turn off power and Fu Yingcan called the fire control room of the park. Led by the evacuation team, employees working at all floors of the office building followed the designated routes to move forward with their heads down and mouths and noses covered by wet towels. They quickly passed through the fire fighting access, and evacuated safely to the safe zone in front of the gate of the office building in an orderly manner. Li Yao counted the number of employees and calculated the evacuation time. After the fire control room of the park received the call about the alarm, firefighters in their fire fighting suits carried fire-fighting tools to enter the office building to extinguish the fire. The entire evacuation process lasted 2 minutes and 34 seconds, and no one fell or was injured, which achieved the expected result.

After the drill, the safety department trained the employees on the use of fire extinguishers, specifically including the steps of shaking the extinguisher, pulling the pin, holding the extinguisher, aiming low at the base of fire, squeezing the lever and sweeping side-to-side, and methods of covering and extinguishing fire by smothering.

This fire emergency evacuation drill further improved the employees’ fire safety awareness and ability to rescue themselves in case of fire, effectively eliminated the potential safety hazards in the office building, and created a safe environment for employees to work.
